McKay NAPA Auto Parts is proud to be ‘Celebrating 86 Years of Customer Service’ in 2023. The McKay Corporate Headquarters, along with their Warehouse, is in Litchfield, IL.  The company’s 26 stores are located from Mt. Sterling to the north; Nashville to the south; and west to the Jerseyville and East to Charleston.  Family owned and operated since the beginning, the company was established in 1937, according to Earl Flack, President & CEO. Bill Stoneburner, Outside Sales Manager; Ryan Ocepek, Operations Manager / IT; and Jim McKay, Chairman-of-the-Board.  Earl said that, “Whether you purchase auto, truck, agriculture or heavy duty parts, paint, and equipment; clothing; or even toilet paper; we all thank you very much for your business, past, present and future,” and “truly look forward to serving new customers as well.”

 

According to Earl, “The only way to hang around this business long, as in eight decades, is by having great people work together with us”.  He added, “I’m sure the founder, Jim’s father, Vincent J. ‘Mac’ McKay, and Mac’s oldest son, former President, Bob McKay, would have agree that we’ve always had the best team together throughout the years”.  The ‘family owned and operated’ local company has over 195 employees, and without these loyal and true, hardworking individuals, this could not have been done.  We have employees who have been with us for many years, 20, 30, 40, up to 50 years; plus, newly hired staff that we hope will be a part of the McKay Crew for many years to come.

 

It was in 2003 when the McKay organization took a major step in aligning towards future growth. When they decided to team up with NAPA. This move allows McKay Auto Parts hands-on capability to obtain over 340,000 parts to promptly serve our customers, meeting their needs. NAPA is the perfect partner to grow with in the 21st Century.  Since joining the NAPA family, McKay’s expanded from 16 stores in 2003 to now 24 stores in 2023.  Their 26 stores are located in Belleville, Bethalto, Carlinville, Carlyle, Centralia, Charleston, Collinsville, Edwardsville, Fairview Heights, Gillespie, Godfrey, Granite City-North, Granite City-South, Greenville, Highland, Hillsboro, Jerseyville, Litchfield, Meadowbrook, Mt. Sterling, Nashville, Nokomis, Rushville, Staunton, Vandalia, and Virden, proudly serving those cities and their surrounding communities.

 

Proudly, McKay NAPA Auto Parts has been raising money for Make-A-Wish Illinois for 20 years, beginning with their first annual amount of $5,000, in 2003.  Last December, the final tally for 2022 was $76,000!  They were able to provide wishes for 11 area children.  ‘We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy!’  McKay NAPA has raised over $743,000 in 20 years for children.

 

McKay’s recently moved into their new warehouse, McKay Distribution Center in Litchfield, IL.  It has allowed McKay’s to become more efficient and improve the processes throughout the day.
